Do-Re-Mi Singing is owned by Jessica Helen, Wedding Singer. Jessica studied singing from the age of 6 and obtained all grades within Pop Music vocals with London College of Music, at 18 she moved to London to study a diploma in Pop Music Vocals with some of the industries leading professionals.
When she returned home to Preston she started teaching in local stage schools
for 4 years in Longridge, Garstang and Lytham.
She then made the decision to open up her own school in the local community (Longton). Do-Re-Mi Singing opened in March 2015. Jessica wanted to offer affordable singing lessons to parents at the same quality that they would expect from one of the more prestigious and expensive stage schools that she had previously worked at in the area.
Throughout the years the children’s classes have built and become a big name within the area. Do-Re-Mi Singing has always been about the children that attend and has never been made about Jessica Helen, it was due to parents and the local community that Jessica started singing with the children.
All students work extremely hard and this shows within their performances. Throughout the year’s parents have commented that it is never a chore to get their children to practice, this is because they want to. Our performances are always delivered to a high standard.
Groups are held in the evenings and cover ages 3-16.
Singing exams are also offered to students so they can achieve qualifications in singing if they wish.
At Do-Re-Mi Singing we believe in singing being a massive help for wellbeing and make lessons enjoyable and fun for all those attending.
We specialise in pop and musical theatre vocals and hold classes and hold classes at Longton Village Hall (St Andrew’s Hall).
Throughout the years, Jessica has come up with ideas to keep classes fun for students and reward them for how hard they work. We hold song writing classes for the older groups, fancy dress lessons at Halloween, the children get treats at Easter, Halloween and Christmas and have “Kevin in Class” at Christmas time which involves all students on the social media platform and has had comments from Aldi.
Students are also rewarded at our annual concert and any student that has attended for 3, 4 & 5 years also receive an award and medal.
